Schools minister declares support for teaching humanism in RE

Minister of State for Schools Nick Gibb MP has stated his support for teaching non-religious beliefs such as humanism as part of Religious Education (RE). BHA welcomes plans for new RE subject framework

Plans announced today for a new Religious Education (RE) subject framework have been welcomed by the British Humanist Association (BHA). New rules on setting up schools in England come into force

New rules on setting up English schools introduced by the Education Act 2011 have come into force today.
