Utilizing an AzzurroCam System & IP-MPLS Network provided by Azzurro Group, BroadcastAZ is now able to capture content in AZ that can be used for national TV interviews, corporate communications, live shots, E-Learning & satellite media tours in High Definition.

(June 29, 2012 - Northvale, NJ) - BroadcastAZ, a Broadcast USA company, recently opened a new studio at 10755 E. Cactus Road, Scottsdale, AZ on June 15th, 2012. The BroadcastAZ facility can be used for national television interviews as well as corporate communications, live shots, E-Learning and satellite media tours with its two HD studios including a 1200 sq.ft. Studio B equipped with five HD cameras, custom sets, and green screen.

Studio A is outfitted with an AzzurroCam System designed and built by the Azzurro Group. AzzurroCam is an intuitive, all-in-one production system capable of managing an unlimited number of cameras, as well as audio, lighting, switching, all from a single compact control unit. The integrated package includes a robotic HD/SD camera with remote control over focus, aperture, color, set-up, and pan/tilt/zoom, plus remotely controllable audio mixing, IFB and four-outlet DMX lighting dimmer. The PC-based interface puts all necessary functions under operator control via presets, on-screen buttons or a joystick and control panel.

In addition to the AzzurroCam System, Azzurro also provides the studio with an IP MPLS network circuit, giving them access to Broadcast & Cable TV Networks for business & political leaders in the state. This enables them to appear on live television without having to leave Arizona.

Azzurro’s MPLS Network allows for video encode/decode latency under 100 milliseconds, which is much faster than satellite. This also enables the studio to appear as a NYC local loop which eliminates long haul transmission costs to NY based broadcasters.

"This is basically the window that connects Arizona to the world via broadcast," said Doug Collins, BroadcastAZ’s Sales and Marketing Director.

Mark Lowden, Azzurro’s Vice President of Sales, said the company's robotic-camera system has been employed for a variety of broadcast uses.

“The NFL Network has 48 systems in use at all of the team training facilities, including the Arizona Cardinals, and at the homes of its football analysts. All of the systems can be controlled from the network's broadcast center in Culver City, CA, “Lowden said.

The MLB Network produces its show, "Intentional Talk" with AzzurroCam systems installed in the homes of its broadcast talent, Kevin Millar in Austin, TX and Chris Rose in Tarzana, CA, with the show produced from a studio in Secaucus, NJ, he said.

"It's almost as if they are in the same room," Lowden said, adding that the system also allows the talent to comment on video highlights showing on their TV monitors. The system can be controlled remotely or locally, as it is at BroadcastAZ,” he said.

The AzzurroCam system is also in use by other clients such as the NHL Network as well as regional news networks, financial houses & universities.

From its all-digital video switching facility at 32 Avenue of the Americas in New York City, Azzurro HD provides and manages real-time video switching and transmission of broadcast quality video via local long-haul fiber and satellite to its customers so they can send feeds to any point domestically or globally. Azzurro HD services range from comprehensive network monitoring solutions to real time transport of contribution quality video for their customers.

Azzurro HD’s clientele includes television and cable networks, sports leagues, international fiber and satellite providers and production facilities - offering video transport network design and management, encoding, decoding, format conversion and 24/7 operations support.
