BROSTRÖM CHANGE OF NAME AND PROFILE Broström Van Ommeren Shipping AB, the holding company of the Broström Group, will be renamed Broström AB. The company also changes its graphic profile to visualize the relation to the global network of the Dutch logistics and distribution company Royal Vopak. Broström has during recent years taken important steps in becoming the market leader in marine transportation and logistics services for the global oil and chemical industry. The acquisition of Van Ommeren's tanker operations and the merger between Van Ommeren and Pakhoed have contributed to strengthen Broström's market position and have brought Broström into a new phase in the evolution of logistics. In line with this development the company is now ready for a new corporate graphic profile. - Broström has a strong own identity. As part of Vopak's global network we can provide our customers with integrated logistics solutions worldwide. This is now being reflected in our new logotype where we have combined the traditional Broström flag with the green colour of Vopak, says Lennart Simonsson, Managing Director of Broström. In connection with the change of graphic profile, three subsidiaries will also change names: United Tankers AB to Broström Tankers AB Van Ommeren Tankers SA to Broström Tankers SA Ferm International Ship Management AB to Broström Ship Management AB The change of name of the holding company Broström Van Ommeren Shipping AB to Broström AB will be proposed to the shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting in May 2000. All Broström ships will soon carry new funnel marks and flags in line with our new logo and their names will have the prefix BRO. The vessels will continue to spread the well-known Broström name on the seven seas.
