BROSTRÖM EXPANDS THE FLEET WITH FURTHER TWO PRODUCT TANKERS Broström has signed a contract to purchase the two double-hulled product tankers Sichem America and Sichem Asia, 14,300 dwt. The vessels will operate in Broström's European trade. They were built in 1999, with ice class 1A and are therefore suitable for transports of oil products under hard ice conditions. Of Broström's total fleet exceeding 60 vessels more than 30 are operating in the European trade. The cargo volumes under contracts of affreightment have increased gradually and the latest investment is a further step in offering a modern and efficient capacity in order to meet the customers' demand for safe and competitive transports.
