Broström has come to another agreement about acquisition of parts in part-owned vessels

Broström has come to an agreement about acquiring parts in the vessels BRO TRADER, BRO AXEL and BRO ANTON. The acquisitions will be paid by new issued shares in Broström. The acquisitions refer to 50 per cent of each of the vessels BRO TRADER (14,320 dwt, built in 1988), BRO AXEL (16,800 dwt, built in 1998) and BRO ANTON (16,800 dwt, built in 1998). Broström owns since previously 50 per cent of the current vessels that are serving in Broström’s European product and chemical tanker shipping operations. On 1 December 2004 the Extraordinary General Meeting authorised the Board of Directors to decide on a new share issue of a total of a maximum of 6,300,000 shares of series B for a consideration of capital contributed in kind. The current acquisitions will be paid by 2 154 818 new B shares in Broström by utilisation of a part of the authorisation. Sellers are companies in the AB Arvid Svensson Group. The transaction means that the AB Arvid Svensson Group’s shareholding in Broström will amount to 6.9 per cent of the capital and 4.3 per cent of the votes. Furthermore, Arvid Svensson Invest AB is since formerly shareholder in Broström. After this, the sphere’s total holding in Broström amounts to 8.1 per cent of the capital and 11.6 per cent of the votes. Arvid Svensson Invest is since previously also owner of Shipinvest Intressenter, a company with the only assignment to own and administer shares in Broström. “We are pleased to have made this agreement with one of our long-term partners who by these acquisitions streamline their holding and engagement in our business”, says Lennart Simonsson, CEO of Broström. “As part-owner of vessels serving in Broström’s fleet since many years we have a long-term view on our shipping engagement.
