BROSTRÖM NAMES NEW PRODUCT TANKER When Broström last week announced its first half year result, with a net profit exceeding SEK 6 per share, the company also informed about the recent delivery of the 7,600 dwt product tanker BRO GLOBE from a shipyard in the Netherlands. At a naming ceremony on 25 August at the Shipyard Ferus Smit, in the vicinity of Groningen, her sister vessel was named BRO GALAXY. The godmother was Mrs Helen Dreijer, the wife of the Senior Vice President of Broström AB Mr Anders Dreijer. The BRO GALAXY and BRO GLOBE are the result of a close co-operation between Broström and Erik Thun AB of Lidköping, Sweden. The vessels are on long-term timecharter to Broström and Erik Thun, which have an ownership of 25 % each. The two new ships are a complement to the earlier built 6,400 dwt vessels BRO GRACE and BRO GLORY. All four vessels will be trading together serving Broström's portfolio of cargo contracts with major oil companies.
