The sale generates a profit before tax of SEK 1.4 million.

Beside the operations within product tanker shipping Broström has a network of ship agencies in several ports along the Swedish coast. They offer ship clearance, forwarding and chartering services for ship owners and other industry customers. One of the companies within the network is Percy Tham i Oxelösund AB, which since 2001 has been jointly owned 50/50 by Broström and Transatlantic European Services AB, a company within the listed group Transatlantic.

Percy Tham had in 2006 net sales of SEK 5.7 million and 5 employees. Broström has now entered into an agreement whereby the company has sold its shares in Percy Tham to Transatlantic.

“As Transatlantic now resumes full responsibility for Percy Tham, possibilities are made to integrate the operation with other offices within the group. This secures long term the continued positive development for the employees in Percy Tham. Within Broström we will now continue to develop our other fully owned ship agencies in Sweden”, says Anders Dreijer, Deputy Managing Director of Broström.
