FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 9, 2012 -- Brownie's Marine Group, Inc. (OTCBB:BWMG), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of highly specialized dive and safety products, today announced the launch of a new resort operator dive experience licensing program and product named TOOKA™tm (Tank Supplied Hookah), with its first location on Singer Island near West Palm Beach, Florida.

The program offers beach goers and tourists the opportunity to enjoy the simplicity and marvel of surface supplied air diving and guided underwater tours with the assistance of professional instructors. The product is a new innovation from Brownie’s Marine Group utilizing a purpose-designed and built raft that robustly supports two (2) scuba tanks on the surface supplying multiple divers air through long hoses to breathing regulators, much like the gas and electric powered Brownie’s Third Lung Hookah diving systems. TOOKA™tm combines Brownie’s patented “DWC” tow belt, PELETONtm hose system with “QRS” (quick-release-swivel hose fittings) and other Brownie’s hookah components leveraging “efficiencies of scale” and delivering an unparalleled diving experience.

The TOOKA™tm is available to qualified operators through a targeted licensing program developed to easily and safely introduce people to diving, build Brownie’s brand awareness, and generate an ongoing monthly revenue stream for both Brownie’s and its partners. The potential locations that could benefit from a TOOKA™ program include thousands of warm-water vacation destinations around the globe.

The TOOKA™tm program has been in “beta-operation” since the initial announcement of the product development at the annual industry dive show, DEMA in 2010. This Easter weekend marks the official launch to the general public. The Singer Island-West Palm Beach TOOKA™tm  program is headed up by Dan Volker, founder of the “South Florida Dive Journal”, who along with instructors from local dive store and collaborator, Pura-Vida Divers, has already undergone TOOKA™ instructor certification.

“Singer Island represents the ideal location to kick off the TOOKA™tm program. On one side of the Island there is the world famous Blue Heron Bridge, an ideal drive-to beach with a spectacular underwater park where people come from all over the world to see nudibranchs, octopus, frogfish, sea horses and dozens of other small creatures that are rarely seen elsewhere in the world. On the beach side of Singer Island, there are several hundred yards of reef rising up to 8 feet off the bottom, in less than 15 feet of water, close to shore. On an island with a tourist flow of between 6,000 and 10,000 new people every two weeks, this is a spectacular opportunity to introduce some of Florida’s most beautiful underwater sights, to non-divers, with little more effort than required to enjoy a ride at Disney World.”, said Dan Volker. Mr. Volker further added: “Unlike scuba diving which requires a complex buoyancy compensator, gauge skills and heavy equipment, it isn’t necessary to master any of these skill prior to taking a TOOKA™ dive.”

“Interest for the TOOKA™tm has been growing for the last few years as we tweaked our product and licensing program to meet market conditions and goals. TOOKA™tm is an ideal method to introduce vacationers to the wonderful underwater world. The experience is much like snorkeling, with the added benefit of being able to stay down and experience the brilliance of the other 2/3rd’sof our world; it is simple and easy. We are very excited about this program and believe the addition of this new business venture will be a boon for not just Brownie’s Marine Group, but the entire dive industry. It’s the ideal way to show novices what they are missing and get them started in a sport that will provide a lifetime of adventure,” stated Robert Carmichael, Brownie’s Chairman and CEO.

To accompany the new business venture a new website has been established called www.itookadive.com (to be read: I-took-a-dive dot com).
