Steve Killen/ Founder and Composer for Safire
Music Band Safire will debut their new album, Crashing Tiles, written by Steve Killen, songwriter and composer, and produced by Keith Sommers and Steve Killen. Crashing Tiles is a unique work influenced by the uplifting melodies of Coldplay, epic guitar tones of Rush, and vulnerability of American songwriters such as Ryan Adams and Jay Farrar. Steve’s true american style peers through haunting melodies, complex arrangements, and scattered jazz harmony. A spear of accessibility draws an audience in and leaves them singing melodic hooks in the shower the next morning.
Steve Killen and Safire have received national notoriety. Between March 29 and April 5th, They were chosen out of 1.2 million bands to be featured on the home page of Reverb Nation, the worlds largest independent band network. Steve Killen has appeared on nationally syndicated radio show Ron Seggi, broadcasted worldwide from Universal Studios in Orlando. Ron Seggi has been described as “The Tonight Show of radio”. Steve appeared with Chevy Chase and Ray Charles Jr. Safire’s music has spun in Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, Las Vegas, Seattle, and more top 50 markets. Other radio appearances have been with national interviewers Finnigan (KISS FM - Chicago, KKRZ Z100 - Portland, KISS XM), Coach Ron Tunick, Janice Wilson, Jiggy Jaguar, Deneice Barnes, and Donna Seebo who quoted:
"Steve Killen's latest CD 'Crashing Tiles' is very special. His lyrics are poignant and touches ones heart and mind with their depth. The stories behind the lyrics lend even more insight into why they were written and why, combined with the wonderful diverse instrumentation of musical composition, it grabs your attention as you listen carefully. His music has both purpose and the power of outstanding performance. I recommend him highly as a guest and know he will continue to have a successful career doing what he loves best, writing lyrics and music."
Donna Seebo/ Talk Show Host of The Donna Seebo Show and Award Winning Author
