BTL´s CEO, Håkan Larssons comments on the Stinnes offer Commenting on the Stinnes offer made to all BTL shareholders for the outstanding shares in BTL, BTL's CEO, Håkan Larsson, stated: "Further financial integration of the companies will generate greater potential for a joint European land transport network. This is in line with the vision and goals presented in conjunction with the alliance between Schenker and BTL in November 1997. Full coordination will allow us to capitalise on the synergy effects more quickly and in doing so increase the potential to improve profitability even further than in the present situation." Håkan Larsson will be the head of the amalgamated land transport operations, with a workforce of around 20,000 and net sales of SEK 30 billion. If the offer will be accepted by all shareholders, the head office of the amalgamated group will eventually be in Essen although a number of key functions will be in Göteborg, from where the land transport operations will be run.
