Friday, 26 June 2009 Residents at Bupa’s Alveston Leys Nursing Home, Kissing Tree Lane, Alveston are looking forward to yoga classes with a twist which are being held at the home, starting on Monday 29 June. Qualified yoga teacher Sarah-Jayne Morow will be holding classes for anyone who would like to take part in yoga, whilst remaining in the comfort of their armchair. Classes will be held on the first Monday of every month 2pm -3pm, with coffee or cold drink provided. No experience of yoga is necessary and it’s suitable for all ages and physical abilities. There will be a cost of £3 per session, which will include all refreshments. Chloe Bingham, Activity Co-ordinator at Bupa’s Alveston Leys says; “It is extremely important to keep supple and flexible whatever your age. We have been holding these yoga sessions for some time now and they have proved to be a great success among residents. I hope that these sessions will give others the opportunity to try them out and see the benefits themselves.” If you would like any information please contact Abby or Chloe Activity Co-ordinators or the Home Manager Julia Joy: 01789 204391, email Julia Joy at joyjul@bupa.com.
