Mrs Bella Williams, a resident of Bupa’s Barton Brook Residential and Nursing Home, Eccles, Manchester, is looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday on Saturday 23 January. The home will hold a party on the Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and jazz singer India will perform for friends and family. Bella was born in 1910 and has one brother and one sister. Her career was spent as a book keeper and typist and she enjoyed cooking and baking. Bella enjoyed holidaying in the Isle of Man with her husband and is regularly visited at the home by her childhood friend, Joan Warburton, Niece, Anna May Booth and God Daughter, Mavis, who treats Bella as a second mother. Neil Hooley, home manager at Bupa’s Barton Brook Residential and Nursing Home, says: “We are delighted to share this special occasion with Bella. We hope she enjoys her party and the jazz performance. It will be a really special day for her to spend with her friends and family.”
