BLOOMING GREAT TEA PARTY AT SHAW SIDE

Monday, 15 June 2009 Residents and staff at Bupa’s Shaw Side Residential and Nursing Home, Shaw, Oldham will be taking part in the ‘Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party’ on Friday 19 June from 10.30am to 3pm. Bupa’s Shawside are inviting people to come along to their tea party which is being held at the coffee house located next to reception. By hosting a ‘Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party’ the home are aiming to raise money to make a real difference to the lives of terminally ill people. Last year, thousands of tea parties were held across the UK, providing over 14,000 hours of nursing care. Christine Ford, Activity Co-ordinator at Bupa Shawside says: “Everyone is looking forward to the event, we have a number of activities taking place, and we hope that we can raise funds in order to provide more care to those affected by terminal illness.”
