Bupa care homes across Essex will be opening their doors to the local community on Saturday 20 March. Visitors will be welcomed into the homes between 10am and 3pm and invited to look around the facilities and take part in activities during the day. Tours of the homes will also be offered throughout the day and visitors will have the chance to chat to some of the residents and see what a day in the life of a Bupa care home is all about. Six homes will be holding events, including: Admirals Reach Residential and Nursing Home, Chelmsford Colonia Court Residential and Nursing Home, Colchester Croft House Nursing and Residential Home, Great Dunmow Gable Lodge Residential Home, Loughton Havering Court Nursing Home, Romford Hutton Village Nursing Home, Brentwood Margaret Kingston, regional manager says: “These events are a great opportunity for the community to see what we’re all about and to interact with the residents. The events will give a real feel for what it is like to live in a Bupa care home and allow us to showcase the facilities of the homes and provide an entertaining and fun day.” Bupa care homes are open to everyone and over 70 per cent of our residents are publicly funded. Care is tailored to individual needs, offering different levels of support from general nursing and dementia to residential and respite. Any profit is reinvested to provide better healthcare for our residents, helping them to live longer, happier, healthier lives.
