BUPA EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER AT MIDDLETON EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

Monday, 15 June 2009 A team from Bupa Care Services’ IS department based in Horsforth, Leeds took part in a community challenge at ‘Riding for The Disabled’ in Middleton, Leeds on Thursday 11 June. Nine members of the Bupa IS department took part in the challenge including; Natalie York, Maureen Beales, Craig Cooper, Kevin Ingle, Michelle Brown and Louise Thornton. The team were involved in many tasks on behalf of Middleton Park Equestrian Centre for ‘Riding for The Disabled’ during the day, responsibilities included fence painting, gardening, aiding with horse care and providing assistance with lessons after receiving training. Natalie York, Project Manager at Bupa Care Services says: “We had a thoroughly rewarding day helping with lessons as well as staining fences around the fields. It was magical just seeing the joy on the children’s faces during their lessons and it taught us all a great deal about this very worthwhile cause.”
