BUPA’S HOLYPORT LODGE WELCOMES NEW HOME MANAGER

Bupa Care Homes is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Lisa Mitchell as home manager of its Holyport Lodge Nursing Home in Holyport, Maidenhead. Lisa has worked in the health and care sector for 20 years, gaining experience within the NHS and commercial organisations. She brings with her a wealth of varied skills including elderly care and rehabilitation. Andrew Jeavons-Fellows, regional manager for Bupa’s Holyport Lodge Nursing Home, commented on Lisa’s appointment: “We are absolutely delighted to appoint Lisa as home manager. She has extensive experience in nursing and will undoubtedly have a real impact at the home. I wish her all the best in her new role.” Lisa said of her appointment: “It is a real pleasure to take on this role and I look forward to getting to know all the residents, staff and relatives at Holyport Lodge.” Holyport Lodge has been rated as three star ‘excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England. As part of Bupa's ongoing commitment to its care homes, Holyport Lodge has recently undergone a £500,000 refurbishment programme. The bedrooms and communal areas of Holyport Lodge have been sympathetically redesigned and completed with co-ordinated soft furnishings and floor coverings. All rooms, most of which are en suite, now have flat screen televisions, many with Freeview, broadband internet access, and WIFI access throughout the home. The homely feel is accentuated by the redecorated corridors and carefully selected lighting to create a warm and homely feel. All bedrooms look out either onto the village green or the homes' landscaped gardens. There are numerous places for residents to relax and entertain guests. The well maintained gardens are attractive and peaceful areas, as are the drawing and sitting rooms.
