Employees from Goldsborough Estates, which is part of the Bupa Group and specialises in the management of private retirement and assisted living properties, took part in a community challenge on Thursday 8 October. The team transformed a reading corner at Christ Church Upper Armley Church of England School, Leeds. The team of 11 redocorated and refurbished the unused corner and turned it into a bright and welcoming area for pupils to use throughout the day. New furniture was supplied including chairs, bean bags, rugs and curtains and the walls received a lick of paint. Katherine Moore, team leader, adds: “The team from Goldsborough Estates were delighted to be taking part in a challenge which benefited the school and the local community. It’s very rewarding to know that our efforts meant that the school had a comfortable and inviting reading area in which the children could spend time developing their reading skills.” Siobhan Drane, Bupa’s community affairs consultant, says: “It’s wonderful to see that so many members of our Goldsborough team took part in the community challenge. It really made a big difference to the school and the local community.”
