DOGS SHOW THEIR TALENT

Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, Ripon Road, Harrogate are looking forward to celebrating their 5th annual dog show on Saturday 10 July at 2.00pm. RSPCA employee Jill Johnson will be judging the show, with categories including ‘most obedient dog’, ‘waggiest tail’, ‘veteran dog’ and ‘rescue dog’. Residents, relatives and staff have been asked to bring in their pooches to take part in the dog show. The home will also be holding a number of stalls including a tombola and refreshments. A small charge to enter each dog into a category will be applied on entry with all proceeds being donated to the RSPCA in Harrogate. Susan Sowden, home manager at Bupa’s Southlands says: “Our residents are looking forward to our dog show. Every year the event gets bigger and better and everyone enjoys interacting with all the different dogs.
