Two residents at St Nicholas Nursing Home in Netherton, Liverpool were reunited after over 60 years when they discovered they were both residents at the same home. Rose Richie and Mary Kirk first met when they started work at the Packing Case in Bootle 68 years ago but lost touch several years later after marrying and taking different paths in life. The two residents were overjoyed at seeing one another again and couldn’t believe that they had been reunited after all this time. Angela Zuraw, home manager at Bupa’s St Nicholas Nursing Home said: “Both residents are overjoyed at finding one another again. They’ve been sharing stories from the old days and love each others company, it’s like they’ve never been apart.”
