LOCAL CARE HOME PREPARES FOR VISIT FROM FOUR LEGGED FRIEND!

Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, Ripon Road, is looking forward to holding its annual garden party on Saturday 22 August. The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Harrogate, Councillor and Mrs Robert Windass will officially open the event at 2pm. Proceeds from the day will be donated to the The Donkey Sanctuary and the home’s adopted donkey Simon will be there on the day! Other attractions on the day will include stalls selling gifts, jewellery and afternoon tea. Entertainer Gary Grace will also be performing. Sue Houghton, Clinical Services Manager at Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, says: “We have a beautiful home and gardens and enjoy welcoming friends and relatives to our events. Members of the local community are warmly invited to join in the fun and meet Simon our adopted donkey!”
