Monday, 15 June 2009 Residents at Bupa’s Oakwood House Nursing Home, Colney, Norwich are looking forward to hosting a dog agility show on Wednesday 17 June at 2.30pm. Oakwood’s (Pets As Therapy) PAT dog, Polly will be joined by her dog friends to take part in an agility course in the gardens of Bupa’s Oakwood House. Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983. It provides therapeutic visits to hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, special needs schools and a variety of other venues by volunteers with their own friendly, temperament tested and vaccinated dogs and cats. Edwina Wingham, Activity Co-ordinator at Bupa Oakwood House says: “Everyone is really looking forward to the day, residents and staff can’t wait to see how their PAT dog, Polly performs in the agility course! We hope that everyone will enjoy the day.” - ENDS -
