The staff and residents of Bupa’s Regency Court Nursing Centre, Littlehampton, are getting ready to take part in ‘The BIG Tea Cosy’, St John Ambulance’s fundraising tea party. The event will take place on Thursday 19 November from 3.00pm. The flagship event aims to provide the much needed funds to support the volunteers that work tirelessly to ensure public events are safe by providing the necessary first aid cover that is needed. Cadets from the local St John Ambulance unit will be volunteering on the day and also in attendance will be The County Training Officer for Sussex, who coincidently is also the home manager of Regency Court. Along with a selection of tea and cakes, a raffle and tombola will be held with a range of prizes, and the Mayor, Councillor Mark Butler will be popping into the home to join in the celebrations. Barbara Marshall, activity co-ordinator at Bupa’s Regency Court said: “We are all really looking forward to this event, and hope that the community come and join us for this good cause. We expect to raise a lot of money for St John Ambulance as well as having a great day.”
