SARAH JONES CELEBRATES A CENTURY!

Mrs Sarah Jones, a resident of Bupa’s Rowan Garth Nursing Home, Lower Breck Road, Anfield, is looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday on Tuesday 8 September. The home will be hosting a party to celebrate the occasion and the mayor, Councillor Mike Storey will be attending. Sarah was born in 1909 in Liverpool where she attended Northcourt Road School, and went on to work for clothes store Littlewoods. Sarah was married with one son and now has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sarah is a great lover of music and enjoys reading romance novels. Over 20 family and friends will be attending the celebrations, with residents and staff bringing the total number of guests to between 40 and 50 people. Jan O’Hanlon, home manager of Bupa’s Rowan Garth, says: “We are pleased to be commemorating this special occasion with Sarah.
