Residents and staff at Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, will be hosting a carols and coffee afternoon on Monday 20 December at 2.30pm to thank all those involved in raising money for The PPR Foundation. The PPR Foundation is a charity that works towards supporting research into brain tumours. The aim of the charity is to raise £1 million by 2015 to fund this important research. Popular Christmas favourites including ‘Away in a Manger’, ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ will be on the set list followed by coffee after the service. Susan Sowden, home manager at Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, says: “The home would like to show their appreciation to all residents and relatives who have supported the PPR Foundation this year. We have raised some vital funds to support such a worthy charity and everyone is really looking forward to getting into the Christmas spirit with some carols and coffee.”
