Residents and staff at Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, warmly invite members of the local community to their annual Autumn Fayre, on Saturday 23 October at 2pm. Lady Ingilby, the Patron of the PPR Foundation will officially open the fayre. All monies raised on the day will be donated to The PPR Foundation, a charity that works towards supporting research into brain tumours. The aim of the charity is to raise £1 million by 2015 to fund this important research. The home will be holding a number of stalls including those selling cakes, gifts, toys, books and bric-a-brac. Visitors will also be invited to test the skills of the local clairvoyant and afternoon tea will be served. Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home is inviting relatives, friends and the community to come and join in the fun and support the home and the charity. Susan Sowden, home manager at Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, says: “Everyone is looking forward to this event and we are glad that we can support such a worthy charity. We have a great range of stalls available and we hope as many people as possible can come along to support the home.”
