Bure’s group of independent schools has acquired 100 per cent of the shares in Rytmus AB. The company is active in the educational market and operates an independent high school in Stockholm. The acquisition will increase the Vittra Group’s net sales by approximately SEK 40 million.

Rytmus (www.rytmus.se) is Sweden’s leading music high school and has contributed to the development of many known musicians and artists since its establishment in 1993. The school is based in Stockholm and currently has some 380 pupils. Rytmus offers an educational programme in which the focus is on contemporary music. The acquisition gives the group a new platform for highly specialised high schools.

Since the beginning of 2007, Bure’s group of independent schools is a unified group consisting of Vittra, IT Gymnasiet and Framtidsgymnasiet. All in all, the group provides education and care for more than 9,000 children and pupils and reported pro forma sales of more than SEK 700 million in 2006.
