Simonsen divests its materials division Simonsen Sweden AB is divesting its materials division. The sale will not have any effect on Bure's results. Simonsen, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bure, consists of two divisions: the laundry division and the materials division. Simonsen is divesting its materials division through an assets and liabilities transaction to the former President Ulf Jungberg. Ulf Jungberg is resigning his position as President of Simonsen Sverige AB in connection with the deal. Sven Ek, former Deputy CEO of Svedala Industri AB and a Board Member of Simonsen Sverige AB since 2002, took over as President from 29 October 2004. "Through the sale of the materials division, we have created the platform for growth and for a much more focused business, both in the remaining operation and the divested unit. Simonsen's remaining unit will be strengthened financially as a result of the transaction," says Lennart Svantesson, President and CEO of Bure. The sale of the materials division is subject to approval by a General Meeting of Bure Equity AB.
