Bure acquires leading radiology institute in Norway Bure Health Care AB acquires a leading radiology institute in Norway, Tönsberg Röntgeninstitutt AS, and thus strengthens its investment in diagnostics. Tönsberg Röntgeninstitutt AS, which has operations in Tönsberg and in Oslo via its subsidiary, Norsk Röntgeninstitutt AS, carries out approximately 100,000 X-ray examinations per annum with a high technology standard. The principals are found in primary care, doctors in private practice, and public hospitals. Tönsberg Röntgeninstitutt AS has sales of SEK 32M and is the second largest private radiology company in Norway. "For us, Norway is a very interesting market which will undergo major changes over the next few years," says Per Båtelson, President of Bure Hälsa och Sjukvård AB. "Through our investment in the radiology sector, we complement our expertise in our existing health care operations." Bure Health Care already has operations in the health care sector in Norway through Volvatgruppen, Norway's leading private hospital group, and the laboratory companies, Norlab and dr Willes Laboratorium. Geriatric care is carried out through the subsidiary, Vennersborg AS. The annual sales rate for Bure Health Care's Norwegian operations amounts to SEK 350 M.
