Bure acquires Majorstuen Röntgeninstitutt

Bure acquires Majorstuen Röntgeninstitutt AS in Norway Bure Health Care expands in the Diagnostics Sector in Norway by acquiring one of the country's leading radiology institutes, Majorstuen Röntgeninstitutt AS in Oslo. Sales amount to NOK 30M. Majorstuen Röntgeninstitutt carries out approximately 80,000 radiology examinations per annum at the request of primary care, private medical practitioners and public hospitals. Magnetic Resonance Imaging and computed tomography account for a large part of the operations. Bure Health Care's Diagnostics Sector, which is currently established in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Poland, will, following the acquisition achieve an annual sales rate of SEK 550M. "Through the acquisition we have strengthened still further our base for continued expansion in the radiology segment in Norway", says Orwar Gustafsson, Director of Radiology Operations of Bure Health Care. Earlier this autumn the second largest radiology company in Norway was acquired; Tönsberg Röntgeninstitutt AS, with its subsidiary, Norsk Röntgeninstitutt AS in Oslo. Bure Health Care's other operations in the specialist care sector in Norway are carried out via the Volvat Group - the leading private health care group in Norway - and the laboratory companies, Norlab and Dr Willes Laboratorium. Geriatric care is operated via the subsidiary, Vennersborg AS. The annual sales rate of Bure Health Care's Norwegian operations amounts to more than NOK 400M.
