Bure implements acquisition of Dimension i Stockholm AB Bure IT/InfoMedia has acquired 55 per cent of the shares in Dimension i Stockholm AB in accordance with a previous agreement. Dimension is a supplier of IT systems with Unix as the platform and is one of the largest partners and retailers of Sun Microsystems in Sweden. In 1996/1997, the company had a turnover of approximately SEK 260M with high profitability. Dimension consists of three companies - in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund. The company has 50 employees and was previously wholly-owned by its staff. Operations consist mainly of value-added reselling, i.e. sales and implementation of systems packages and products linked to these packages. In addition to Sun, Dimension has a number of strategic suppliers such as Oracle, Sisco, Broad Vision and Veritas. In Bure IT/Infomedia, Dimension will be included in Business Area IT Services which, following the acquisition of Dimension will have a combined turnover of approximately SEK 1,100M.
