Bure InfoMedia in focus - Sifo Group becomes the world leader in media monitoring and competitive market intelligence Through the acquisition of Romeike Group in Great Britain, Sifo Group becomes the world's largest company in media monitoring and market intelligence. The acquisition is financed via an issue of new shares, with preferential right for Sifo Group's shareholders. Investment AB Bure presently owns 17,210,189 shares in Sifo, which corresponds to 50.1 percent of the shares and 64.1 percent of the votes. Bure is supporting the acquisition and has agreed to subscribe for new shares equal to Bure's present ownership level. "Sifo and Romeike will make a very strong constellation. From an industrial viewpoint, it is a very attractive acquisition. Sifo are very proficient in media monitoring and analysis, and their expertise will help develop the Group's business. Romeike is a company with a good steady profit level and a very strong cash flow. The conditions for the new share issue in Sifo Group will be decided at Sifo's Annual General Meeting which will take place at the end of December 1999.
