Bure sells the IT company, Erda

Bure sells the IT company, Erda Bure IT streamlines its operations and sells Erda to the O-listed Guide Konsult AB. Erda's operations are located in Linköping and the company is expected to report sales of SEK 55M in 1999. For Bure, the sale involves a Groupwise capital gain of SEK 14M. "Erda has several unique spearhead skills with regard to knowledge systems and embedded systems. These will be able to reach a larger market and be used in more ways within GUIDE. In addition, GUIDE will get a platform in Linköping, which is an as-yet unworked market for Erda," says Björn Boldt-Christmas, Head of Business Area Bure IT. Erda, which was formed in 1992, specialises in modern knowledge-handling aimed at making meeting customers more efficient. The platform is Erda's concept "k- Commerce " which generates sales, additional sales, customer advice and support via the channel that the customer selects himself. Areas of application are sales support, help desk, call centre and support via the web. In the Embedded Systems Segment, Erda offers support for incorporating IT in products and for the development of technological real time systems. The company has 65 employees and is located in Linköping.
