Burke Rehabilitation Center and Hospital for Special Surgery to Host Free Shoulder and Knee Seminar
WHITE PLAINS, NY – April 3, 2013 -- Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, in cooperation with Hospital for Special Surgery, will host a free Shoulder and Knee Seminar from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 29, at the Rosedale Conference Room in the Billings Building on the Burke campus at 785 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains.
The co-sponsored program will feature presentations by Lawrence V. Gulotta, M.D., and Andrew D. Pearle, M.D., both sports medicine orthopedic surgeons at Hospital for Special Surgery; and Jill O’Flaherty, DPT, a physical therapist from Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. Topics will include an overview of common shoulder and knee conditions and how to manage them. Other areas to be covered include typical shoulder and knee injuries; osteoarthritis management; arthroscopy; robot-assisted surgery; non-surgical options and the importance of exercise and staying active.
