BCSG is just weeks away from hearing whether it has won the accolade of Innovation of the Year, having been shortlisted for the award by a panel of experts including leading businesswoman and star of BBC1’s The Apprentice, Karren Brady and Marketing Director at Nectar, James Frost.

The Nectar Small Business Awards is an annual national competition recognising the success and hard work going on in the UK small business community. If successful, BCSG will win a seat at the Nectar Business Small Business Awards roundtable event on September 12th, £2,000 cash and 50,000 Nectar points.

BCSG entered its product ‘MyBusinessWorks’ into the category; an easy to use online package for Barclays business customers comprising five market leading business management applications worth over £2,200 within a single low cost monthly subscription of less than £20. This unique package was developed after BCSG identified that many small business owners cannot afford the individual purchase of market leading business management applications, despite benefiting greatly from the support they provide in facing the challenges of running a business.

BCSG Managing Director John Davis comments: “Our mission statement is to help small businesses around the world to survive and succeed, and being shortlisted for the Innovation of the Year Award recognises the difference we’ve made in delivering innovative products and services at great prices to SMEs. We are very proud of the success we’ve achieved over the past 18 months with MyBusinessWorks and winning this award would make us prouder still.”

James Frost, Marketing Director at Nectar says: “We saw a particularly high standard of entries for the Innovation of the Year category of the Nectar Business Small Business Awards, which is great, particularly as this was the first year for this category in the awards. We were looking for those businesses that had excelled in innovation, from products, to ways of working and beyond.  We wish all the shortlisted candidates, including BCSG, the best of luck.”
