Finland showcases its globally unique ecosystem for Critical Communications at CCW2018
Finland presents a globally unique ecosystem in critical communications and public safety. The Finnish critical communications ecosystem has the elements to create new value and provide solutions for the entire critical communications value chain.
Finland’s Critical Communications ecosystem will be showcased at Critical Communications World 2018 (CCW2018), May 15–17, 2018. The companies at the Finnish Pavilion (booth A61+B60+B61) provide a comprehensive interoperable offering, which covers the whole value chain of critical communications.
The Finnish ecosystem brings together innovative companies as well as public authorities, enabling a unique environment for close cooperation, information sharing and creating new solutions. Unsurprisingly, Finland tops the Quixoticity Index 2017, which is the global benchmark for critical communications.
“We are expanding our national operations and ecosystem to Sweden and Norway by connecting our authority networks Nödnett, Rakel and Virve,” says Jarmo Vinkvist, CEO of Virve operator, part of Erillisverkot Group. “As an operator, we are connecting technically the Tetra networks to each other. Meanwhile, Public Safety authorities will build up by themselves the common management and communications models over the borders. Our societies and citizens will benefit from this excellent co-operation and trust over the borders.”
“Finnish companies are global forerunners in critical communications,” says Hanna Marttinen-Deakins, Senior Director of Digitalization at Business Finland. “Their solutions guarantee an uninterrupted network performance and a high service quality, both in TETRA and LTE networks. Their expertise for demanding security-related situations covers every aspect of technology and business from full networks and services to control rooms, special applications, enhanced data, network slicing and multi-network modems.”
“At the heart of our ecosystem is the close cooperation between companies and public authorities,” says Elina Avela, CEO of Beaconsim. “The Finnish Pavilion at CCW gives you an excellent opportunity to meet Finnish critical communications companies, operator and users with today-in-use applications and operational procedures as well as learn more about our world-renowned ecosystem.”
