The sixth National Apprenticeship Week has the theme ‘Building a Better Future’ and focuses on the four core values of apprenticeships which are quality, growth, pride and value. Demonstrating to employers and apprentices the many benefits of apprenticeships, this week will encourage employers to look at the high quality apprenticeships available, and the ability to achieve sustainable business growth by investing in apprenticeship development. For apprentices this week will aim to provide a clear vision of the opportunities for career progression and rapid skills development which can be achieved through a high quality apprenticeship. The National Apprenticeship Service has developed a toolkit for anyone wanting to take part in National Apprenticeship Week which is available from www.apprenticeships.org.uk

David Steel, Sales Director at Business Impact commented: ‘National Apprenticeship Week will be a celebration of all that has been achieved in recent years to develop high quality apprenticeships, and bringing the apprenticeship agenda to all parts of the business community. For many employers who traditionally don’t see the potential of apprenticeships, a week long programme of events like this will help identify opportunities, and best practice in the development of high quality young people through a robust and well developed scheme. This week also acknowledges many of the fantastic young people who are achieving real career development through their participation in apprenticeships.’
