On Track for Success with Business Impact
The future is looking bright for Business Impacts’ new Rail Engineering students as they train for a career as Track Engineers on the UK Rail Network. The new programme delivered in partnership with Job Centre Plus (Essex) and East Anglian Rail Museum allows individuals to learn work based skills in a safe and controlled environment. On completion of the programme learners get all the Network Rail Mandatory Safety Critical Licences needed to work in the industry.
Brendan McGrath, Programme Manager for the Rail Engineering programme commented; “We are delighted to have our first cohort of learners on site. The programme has been designed by a number of employers across the South East and their support and encouragement has been great. We are confident the course will ensure employers and individuals will gain the skills they need to work productively within the rail sector. There is significant investment planned in the rail network now and in the future, and this course offers the first stage in building a workforce of the future to handle the multi-billion pound investment programme.”
The new course will join the extensive range of employer led skills programmes that Business Impact now offer, focusing provision on employer skills shortages, through NVQ training, Pre-Employment programmes and Apprenticeship solutions.
