C-RAD AB: DEGRO

Introduction of the C-RAD Catalyst system on the German market.

C-RAD AB with its three fully owned subsidiaries are all active in the field of radiation therapy. C-RAD for the first time exhibited at the DEGRO meeting 2-5 June 2011 in Wiesbaden Germany.

The C-RAD mission is to provide innovative and cost effective solutions to secure high precision in advanced radiation therapy to cure more patients with cancer. The previously launched Sentinel™ and GEMini™ systems are based on unique technologies and are intended for use in radiation therapy.

The new and unique C-RAD system Catalyst was for the first time presented for clinicians in Germany . The Catalyst system is introducing a solution to secure the highest quality through the whole treatment chain. This is achieved through automatic and independent verification of many critical parameters that were previously only possible to check manually. The German speaking countries with 350 radiation therapy centers is the most important region in Europe. Altogether 2 400 physicists, oncologists and technicians attended the conference. The C-RAD solutions especially developed for use in advanced radiation therapy were well received by clinicians. The Catalyst system, with interactivity and with the newly developed none rigid algorithms, attracted much attention.
