C-RAD is expanding its resources in marketing management and sales.

C-RAD AB with its three fully owned subsidiaries is active in the field of radiation therapy. To further strengthen the competence in the field of radiation management skills Mr. Tim Thurn has been employed as president of C-RAD Positioning AB.

C-RAD Positioning AB is developing and marketing systems for use in radiation therapy to improve precision and effectiveness when treating patients. The company has developed two different systems for use in radiation therapy. The newly announced Catalyst system is an advanced system based on latest technologies in hard ware and software for use in the whole treatment chain. The Sentinel system is a dedicated solution for motion control of the patient that can be expanded for use in positioning of the patient and for so called respiratory gating.

Tim Thurn has during the last four years been working in the field of radiation therapy for the German company LAP. After a short period in the R&D department he changed to a position as product manager, which also included the responsibility for the private label version of the C-RAD Sentinel system delivered to LAP. Since end of 2009 Tim Thurn has been responsible for sales of the LAP program in Europe and to Middle East and Africa

Erik Hedlund, CEO, C-RAD AB:

”Tim has both technically and commercially acquired a deep knowledge in the C-RAD surface scanning technology to use in the treatment of patients with cancer. He will be important for our further activities in the field. His marketing and sales experience, especially in the marketing and sales activities in German speaking countries, will be of great use. ”

Tim Thurn, President C-RAD Positioning AB:

"There are two major tendencies in the leading edge radiotherapy market, which focuses on increasing dose rates in decreasing treatment slots. The outcome of this is a high demand for 4D monitoring while treatment and the improvement of patient positioning. Using the right tools patients as well as clinics benefit from this development. Therefore the applications individual adoption to the clinical workflows and the highest level of integration in existing radiation therapy systems is important. C-Rad has a very detailed technological know-how to improve the radiotherapy process. My immediate steps are to expand the sales activity in the largest European RT market - the DACH countries as well as to prepare the successful market launch for the new products. In the mid-term I see huge potential to focus the development of the systems on usability and workflow integration. The vision is to have a perfectly interfaced system that covers full patient control before and while treatment."
