C-RAD AB with its three fully owned subsidiaries and three international sales companies are all active in the field of radiation therapy. Tim Thurn is taking over the position as President and CEO of C-RAD AB from July 1st 2013.
Tim Thurn has joined the C-RAD group in May 2011. Since then he has been responsible for the operations and strategy within C-RAD Positioning AB. Prior to his assignment at C-RAD Positioning AB he was heading the sales activities in the EMEA region for the German company LAP. During the last six years he has been working in the field of radiotherapy with a focus on patient positioning.
Tim Thurn, CEO, C-RAD AB:
“I am delighted how the company developed within the last two years. We have established a global sales organization with a strong sales force on key markets and a network of global partners. Our product portfolio is directed to support clinics to improve cancer treatment. Integration and enhancing efficiency have been the focus of our development.
In my new position I will focus on further commercialization of the core competences of the whole C-RAD group in the field of radiation therapy. Considering the development in the market, the importance of accurate patient setup and the certainty that the setup is maintained over the entire fraction is the key factor in cutting edge radiotherapy.
I am looking forward to continue to work with the highly motivated and competent C-RAD team.”
“This is important step for C-RAD. The first phase in C-RAD’s history, when focus has been on development is finalized. The company has now reached a position from where we will focus more on sales. It is therefore a perfect time to change CEO. Erik Hedlund, who will continue to play an important role in the company as board member, is handing over a company with good opportunities.” says Börje Bengtsson, Chairman of the Board, C-RAD AB
