FixuTaxi – part of Cabonline – wins key contract for Helsinki Central Station
Starting 6 June 2025, FixuTaxi – part of the Nordic taxi company Cabonline – will be one of only two operators with direct access to the official taxi lanes at Helsinki Central Station, improving service at Finland’s busiest transport hub.
After years of challenges with overcrowding and inconsistent service quality, the City of Helsinki launched a public tender to improve the situation at the station square – the busiest transport hub in Finland. The goal: to ensure a safe, reliable, and high-quality taxi service for both locals and visitors.
The city of Helsinki improves the taxi environment at Central Station
As a result of the tender, FixuTaxi has been selected as one of only two approved taxi operators allowed to pick up passengers directly from the station’s official taxi lanes. The selection was based on quality criteria, including driver training, customer service, and share of cars that are fossil fuel independent.
–”We are proud to have earned the trust of the City of Helsinki. Our commitment to safety, service, and accessibility is what defines FixuTaxi – and now we get to deliver that experience at the most central location in the country.”, Karl-Johan Schauman, COO at Cabonline Finland.
FixuTaxi to bring high-quality service at the Central station
FixuTaxi – Cabonline is a smart and accessible taxi service that combines seamless app booking, transparent fixed pricing, and 24/7 reliability. All vehicles meet high safety and payment standards, ensuring a smooth, secure, and affordable ride.
Helsinki Central Station sees approximately 850 local trains and over 100 long-distance trains daily, making it one of Finland’s most important transportation hubs. Its central location and high foot traffic also make it a vital point for taxi customers.
Already on 6 June 2025, travelers can count on FixuTaxi for safe, reliable, and reasonably priced rides – directly from the station. To support the transition, FixuTaxi representatives will be on-site between 07:00 and 19:00 during the first week to help passengers navigate the new taxi area and answer any questions.
