Check into the holiday spirit with a stay at a California inn this season.  Members of the California Association of Boutique & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) will soon be stringing lights, decking the halls and bustling with holiday festivities. Below are just some of the best decorated inns in California. Find more photos of festive inns on CABBI's Pinterest board.

The historic Raford Inn in Healdsburg is a magical place to stay during the holidays. Every room of the inn is decorated in its holiday finest and twinkling lights are hung from every eave and palm tree. Each year, the inn hosts a Grand Victorian Gala for guests, friends and neighbors. The inn is within an easy drive of Sonoma County wineries, Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, and the California coast. It features a gracious front porch overlooking a working estate vineyard and serves a full gourmet country breakfast each morning. The private guest rooms feature fine linens, vintage baths and WiFi. Some also offer fireplaces.

The McCaffrey House Bed and Breakfast Inn in the High Sierras offers a winter wonderland escape for the holidays. The beautifully decorated inn sparkles with tinsel, snow globes, and Santa figurines amid the warm glow from the fireplace. This year, the inn will be adding a new Lionel train to run around the base of the Christmas tree along with new Lionel ornaments for the tree’s boughs. The charming three-story B&B is nestled in the quiet forest hollow. All of the guest rooms feature handmade Amish quilts, woodstoves, private baths, and exquisite views of the forest surrounding the inn.

For the holiday season, the ornate architecture of the Victorian Inn in Ferndale is outlined with thousands of twinkling lights. The inn’s restaurant hosts many holiday dinner parties, and America’s Tallest Living Christmas Tree stands at the end of the lane, decorated for the season. Visitors to the Victorian Inn on December 1 can attend the tree’s official lighting. Ferndale itself celebrates the season with family-friendly events including the Lighted Tractor Parade, to be held December 15. Guests at the inn will enjoy creature comforts such as vintage furnishings, fine linens and a full gourmet breakfast in the morning.

Chelsea Garden Inn in Calistoga is a great place to gather for the holiday season. Each morning, guests enjoy a homemade breakfast served fireside in the dining room, festooned with holiday decorations. Just two blocks from the inn, the decorated streets of Calistoga’s cozy downtown beckon with holiday shopping, wine tasting rooms and fine dining. Downtown also hosts several holiday events such as the Calistoga Lighted Tractor Holiday Parade, in which the inn’s staff and families drive their own mid-1900s tractor and carriage strung with lights. Back at the inn, the warm glow of the Christmas tree and the holiday decorations provide the perfect atmosphere to relax, play board games by the fire and enjoy hot chocolate on a cozy winter's evening. The inn features spacious one and two bedroom suites, all with private entrances and baths, and gas fireplaces.

From Thanksgiving to New Year’s, the historic Queen Anne Hotel in downtown San Francisco is dressed to the nines. The hotel’s interiors are transformed with the warm glow of hundreds of festive decorations mixed with the ornate Victorian furnishings and crackling fireplaces. The holiday season offers the hotel’s best value, too, with the lowest rates of the year. The hotel is convenient to Fillmore Street and Union Square for the best of the city’s holiday shopping offerings. Complimentary car service is also available weekdays for getting around town. The hotel serves tea and sherry with fresh baked cookies each afternoon and a complimentary breakfast each morning. The individually furnished rooms feature period antiques, luxury linens and private baths.  Upgrades are available for rooms with wood burning fireplaces and Jacuzzis.
