CABBI and CH&LA Members Honored with Trip Advisor 2013 Travelers’ Choice Awards

Sacramento, CA – Nine members of the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) and California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) were named among the winners of TripAdvisor’s 11thannual Travelers’ Choice Awards, announced Thursday morning. CH&LA and CABBI members were recognized in several of the award categories.

CABBI member The Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island was named among the Top 25 Hotels for Service in the United States.

Four CABBI members were award recipients in the Top 25 Small Hotels in the United States category, including Honor Mansion, A Wine Country Resort in Healdsburg; Farmhouse Inn & Restaurant in Forestville; Casa Laguna Inn & Spa in Laguna Beach; and Santa Ynez Inn in Santa Ynez. Honor Mansion, A Wine Country Resort was also honored as one of the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the United States.

CABBI member Hotel Drisco, located in San Francisco, was honored with the Top 25 Hotels in the United States award. CH&LA members among the award winners for Top 25 Hotels in the United States included Bardessono Hotel, Restaurant & Spa in Yountville; The Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego; and Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. These three properties also make the Top 25 Luxury Hotels list for 2013.

The Travelers’ Choice Awards identify the most outstanding properties worldwide, in several categories. The awards are based on travelers’ reviews during the 2012 year. These reviews are from over 60 million monthly users and cover more than 650,000 hotels in 82 countries. This year’s Travelers’ Choice campaign was the largest ever with over 6,000 winners worldwide.

Earlier this month CH&LA members Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, and Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara were named among TripAdvisor’s Top 10 Hotel Spas in the US. This award was for the most highly rated hotel spas according to reviews.
