SACRAMENTO, CA [December 12, 2019]—In celebration of California Restaurant Month in January, the California Association of Boutique and Breakfast Inns (CABBI.com) has compiled a list of B&Bs and boutique hotels offering dining packages and dinner specials. The restaurants at many of the inns are destinations unto themselves, with award-wining chefs crafting exemplary farm-to-table cuisine that draw upon California’s bounty of local farms, fisherman, ranchers, and winemakers.

For just $40 per person, Murieta Inn & Spa’s Gate Restaurant is offering a special three-course, prix fixe dinner with local Amador County wine pairings through the month of January (holidays excluded). The first course includes a choice of smoked carrot bisque with wasabi honey or a baby kale and pistachio Caesar in a parmesan nest paired with a sparkling rosé.  The second course is crisp duck confit served over pickled ginger fried rice with tempura duck gizzards or parsnip gnocchi with fried Brussels sprouts, roasted wild mushrooms, and cambozola crème paired with a pinot grigio. The final course is a lemon ginger mousse or flourless chocolate torte paired with a 2017 Sobon Estate Barbera. For reservations, call The Gate at 916-354-3900.
