Sacramento, CA [July 6, 2016] -- Plan an adrenaline-packed adventure in California’s great outdoors with lux accommodations at the end of the day.  Whether it’s mountain biking, whitewater rafting, surfing or climbing, chances are there’s a boutique hotel or B&B close to the action. Members of the California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns (CABBI) are offering a variety of outdoor sports packages for guests seeking great adventures and a comfortable night’s rest.

Mendocino’s little-known mountain biking trails, which rise steeply in the redwood-covered hills east of town, are not well-marked.  But MacCallum House offers a Mountain Bike Package to introduce skilled riders to the challenging and beautiful terrain.  The package includes a three-hour, guided trail ride led by the inn’s own General Manger, Herman Seidell.  Seidell is a cycling enthusiast who grew up in Mendocino exploring the trails.  The rides are held on select Saturday mornings.  In addition to the ride, the package includes a bottle of champagne upon arrival, dinner for two at the restaurant, breakfast each morning, energy bars and sports drinks. Post-ride massages are also available.  The package is $300 for two people and can be added to any two-night stay.  To book a stay and the mountain bike package, call 707-937-0289.

Only five minutes away from the Eden Vale Inn in Placerville, the South Fork American River is one of the country's most popular white water rivers. When guests book their rafting trip through the inn and stay two or more nights, they’ll save 10% to 15% off their rafting adventure.  Guests have their choice of action-packed trips with class III and IV rapids or tranquil floats through a beautiful river canyon.  The inn can help guests choose the trip that’s best for them based on their interests and abilities.  The package includes an experienced rafting guide with a reputable company and all rafting and safety equipment.  Half day and full day trips are available for all skill levels.  The cost typically ranges between $91 and $120 per person.  Rafting reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.  Call 530-621-0901 to reserve.

Soar from the top of Catalina Islands’ Descanso Canyon to the beach with Hotel Catalina and Courtyard Garden Suites’ exciting Zip Line Package. The package includes round trip transportation on the Catalina Express, a one-night stay in a Standard Room at Hotel Catalina or Courtyard Room with King Bed at Courtyard Garden Suites, continental breakfast, discounts at four local restaurants and discounts on other tours.  The package rates the Hotel Catalina starts at $242 per night for midweek stays.  Midweek rates at the Courtyard Garden Suites start at $317 per night.  Prices exclude taxes and are based on double occupancy. Weekend rates and room upgrades are available. Some restrictions apply.  For reservations, call 800-540-0184.

Now through September 15, 2016, the Lavender Inn in Ojai is offering 10% off midweek room rates when paired with one three outdoor sports packages: rock climbing, surfing and hiking.  The rock climbing package includes a guided tour by Trails by Potter of some of the valley’s best climbs with routes ranging from 5.5 to 5.11, so there’s something for every level.  Learn to surf or improve your skills with sponsored surfer and author Mary Osborne, who provides individual lessons as well as surf camps. Great surf spots are just 20-minutes away from the inn.  Situated at the edge of the Los Padres National Forest, Ojai offers a myriad of hiking opportunities, including two trails that are within walking distance of the inn.
