Cambria jumps to forefront among commercial sites with new HTML5 coding, motion design for iPads

MINNEAPOLIS, October 28, 2011 – Cambria, the only American company in the quartz surfaces business, announced today the launch of its newly constructed website, CambriaUSA.com.

Known for leading the quartz industry in color development, Cambria has now taken that cutting edge reputation to its website. The new CambriaUSA.com reveals an impressive take on interactive motion design – it’s neither video nor flash. Instead, users can build their dream kitchen portfolio through animations, not only on desktop browsers, but even on modern tablets like the iPad.

Users can now peruse Cambria’s 96 colors by attributes such as color, texture, backlighting, marble designs and jewel designs. For example, if a homeowner wants a color that is dark, with heavy texture, and contains a marble design, he or she can easily narrow it down to find the best options to fit those desires, which inevitably would be Cambria colors Braemar or Wellington.

“The site does more than help our customers choose a color; it enables them to dream about the endless possibilities of using Cambria in their home,” said Peter Martin, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With industry-leading programming methods and a rich user experience, this site truly makes Cambria a leader in digital capabilities.”

The new site is centered on inspiring consumers and designers alike to “Dream Wildly. Live Distinctively.” which is also the name of the campaign created by Minneapolis digital agency space150. "Cambria is a company that understands the need to offer consumers a digital experience that is future-proof. This is a perfect example of how a strong creative platform works with technology to bring life across desktop, mobile and post-pc platforms," said Marcus Fischer, President of space150.

The new CambriaUSA.com introduces a tool for designers, the Mood Board, allowing them to draw in assets from Cambria’s partnered brands and upload their own inspirational photos to the board. Working from the colors of a client’s heirloom vase, to a photo they shot while on a trip to Capri, this tool helps designers tie it all together. Designers can also build a Resource Kit that contains their colors, specs and other product information, all packaged into a personalized PDF that can easily be shared with clients.

A similar tool, the Dream Board, allows all consumers to mix and match Cambria colors, backsplash options and Benjamin Moore paint colors with hardware, appliances, cabinetry and flooring. Users can then share their Dream Board with others through email and social media channels.

Users can experience the new Cambria website at http://www.CambriaUSA.com.
