Ekom’s Medical Compressor Range Now Available in the UK & Ireland from Absolute Air & Gas
Ekom’s three-model range of medical grade air compressors that meet ISO 13485 and MDD93/42 standards are now available in the UK & Ireland from compressed air and gas specialist Absolute Air & Gas. Ekom are the leading global supplier of compressed air ventilator compressors.
Thanks to their ultra-quiet operation (less than 49 decibels), the cabinet-based Ekom DK50D and DK50DM medical compressors are ideal for providing a clean, dry, oil-free source of compressed air for respiratory applications as they can be easily placed at the point of use.
The smaller DK50D model has a compressor efficiency of 40l/min, with the larger DK50DM providing 60 l/min at 3 bar. Both models feature a five litre air tank capacity, filtration to 5 μm and, thanks to an integrated water separator, are capable of producing air with a dew point not less than 5oC below the ambient temperature. The two models also feature 50/60Hz dual frequency operation to provide greater flexibility for exporting OEMs.
Also available in Ekom’s medical grade range is the compact SMART DK50DS compressor, which provides clean, dry, oil-free compressed air suitable for medical ventilator applications and can be used as a primary source of air or duty stand-by should a centralised source fail.
The SMART DK50DS can be supplied with castors or as a trolley- or rack-mounted unit and, like Ekom’s other medical grade compressors, is quiet in operation (less than 51 decibels) and features 50/60Hz dual frequency operation. It also features a two litre air tank and can provide up to 50 l/min at 3.5 bar.
Like the DK50D/DS models, the SMART DK50DS can also provide a peak air flow of 200 l/min at 3 bar.
