Capio - listing of Scandinavia's leading healthcare company On 16 October, Capio AB will be the first healthcare company to be listed on the O-list of the OM Stockholm Exchange. The Group has 5,600 employees and an annual sales rate amounting to SEK 3,300 million. Capio is planning further international expansion and is currently established in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the UK, Switzerland and Poland. The listing is an important step in Capio's future internationalisation process, fuelled by Swedish healthcare expertise. The Capio shares will be distributed to Bure Equity's more than 22,000 shareholders, and will thus have a considerable spread from the start. One share in Capio is to be distributed for each two shares in Bure Equity. The record day has been set for 11 October. This means that the final trading day for Bure shares, including rights to distribution of shares in Capio, is 6 October. A prospectus for the listing will be distributed to shareholders in Bure on or around 3 October 2000. A web version of the prospectus will be available at www.capio.se, no later than 27 September. Capio provides services in healthcare, diagnostics and elderly care, representing thirty medical specialist areas. Clients are primarily county councils, trusts, insurance companies and municipalities, as well as employers purchasing occupational healthcare services. At the Capio care units, which have agreements with public sector principals, patients can obtain care on the same terms as within the public healthcare system, and the same patient fees and waiting list regulations apply. Every year, Capio performs around two million physician consultations, 8.7 million laboratory analyses and half a million x-ray examinations. Capio is planning further expansion and has the expertise to operate cross-border both geographically and in terms of medical specialist areas. This makes Capio a unique, leading actor in the European healthcare market. 850 Capio staff members are physicians, and around 20% of the staff are located in countries other than Sweden.
