Capio Diagnostics to establish radiology unit in Trondheim, Norway Capio Diagnostics has signed an agreement with the Norwegian Health Department to establish a medical radiology unit in Trondheim, Norway. The agreement is estimated to be worth SEK 40 M in revenues for Capio on an annual basis. "We plan to open the new radiology unit in September, which initially will serve patients from St. Olav's University Hospital in Trondheim. The unit will carry out both magnetic resonance tomography (MR) and computer tomography (CT) examinations," says Hans Olav Almaas, Manager of Capio Diagnostics in Norway. In addition to patients from University Hospital, the radiology unit in Trondheim will also handle patients referred from the entire Central Norway healthcare region. The region has a population of approximately 650,000. The Trondheim unit will conduct its fully digitalised operations in premises situated close to St. Olav's University Hospital. Using teleradiology technology, the unit will also have access to the competence available in Capio Diagnostics' other radiology units.
