Capio-owned Actica Omsorg acquires Borgmästaregården in Norrköping Actica Omsorg AB has acquired Borgmästaregården AB in Norrköping, and will take over operations on October 1. Borgmästaregården has annual revenues of more than SEK 40 M and some 100 employees. "Borgmästaregården is a successful combination of home help services and accommodation for the elderly and, in the long term, we intend to extend this concept to several of our other units. This operation will strengthen our platform in eastern Sweden and will successfully complement our existing units in Norrköping and Linköping," says Sture Ericsson, President of Actica Omsorg, Capio's Elderly Care Business Area. Borgmästaregården accommodates about 100 elderly persons, and also provides home-help services. The principal customer is the Norrköping municipality. Operations have been conducted by the present owner since 1992. Actica Omsorg - Capio's Elderly Care business area - specialises in care services for the elderly, tailored to meet individual needs. Actica, which conducts operations in Sweden and the other Nordic countries, has annual sales of approximately SEK 300 M, with about 500 employees.
